Node
Each issue of Inflexions has a section entitled Nodes, which will feature a group of conceptually interlinked pieces that engage with a particular problematic in a variety of different modes, including but not limited to academic essays. The inaugural issue of Inflexions tackles an endlessly generative question that is a once the thematic of the issue, and the raison d’être of the journal as a whole: “How is Research-Creation?” Nodes contributors are invited to be experimental in their responses, not so much commenting on what research-creation might be, but creatively and critically pushing against the constraints (enabling and otherwise) of recognizable models of thought.

Tangents
Each issue of Inflexions includes a Tangents section presenting individual contributions to the theory and practice of research-creation. Tangents pieces strike off in directions all their own, and resonate across their divergences. Taken together, they suggest potential connections with each other and the issue Node. Tangents may be art works in any web-presentable medium or media mix. They may also be written pieces of any genre: commentary, creative writing, ephemera, short academic articles, art or political reportage, reviews,  or “rearviews” (reassessments of old but relevant material).
